The cost of traveling to Bhutan varies depending on several factors, such as the duration of your trip, the time of year you plan to visit, your choice of accommodation, and the activities you want to do.
Bhutan operates a policy of “high-value, low-impact tourism” which requires all visitors to book their travel through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator, and pay a minimum daily package rate. The minimum daily package rate for tourists in Bhutan is set by the Royal Government of Bhutan and is currently set at USD 250 per person per day during the high season (March, April, May, September, October, and November) and USD 200 per person per day during the low season (December, January, February, June, July, and August).
This daily package rate includes accommodation, all meals, a licensed guide, and transportation within the country. Additional costs may include airfare to and from Bhutan, visa fees, travel insurance, and any personal expenses such as souvenirs or extra activities.
It’s important to note that independent travel is not allowed in Bhutan, so you will need to book your trip through a licensed tour operator. This can be done either directly with a Bhutanese tour operator or through an international tour company that specializes in Bhutanese travel.
Our rates are given below and are inclusive of Sustainable Development Fund (SDF).
You can also read the new SDF for visitors visiting Bhutan which is a promotion from 1st of June, 2023 till 31st of December, 2024.
