Guides

Our guides play a crucial role in helping visitors to explore the country’s rich culture, heritage, and natural beauty. They are required by law to accompany all visitors, except for Indian, Bangladeshi, and Maldivian nationals, who are allowed to travel independently.

Our guides are highly trained and certified by the government’s Tourism Council of Bhutan. They are knowledgeable about Bhutan’s history, culture, religion, and environment, and can provide detailed information and insights to visitors. They also serve as interpreters for visitors who do not speak the local language.

Our guides can arrange customized itineraries for visitors based on their interests and preferences. They can help visitors plan activities such as hiking, trekking, cultural tours, and religious pilgrimages. They also assist with logistics such as transportation, accommodation, and meals.

Tourist guides in Bhutan are required to adhere to a strict code of conduct and ethics, which includes respecting local customs and traditions, promoting responsible tourism practices, and ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors.

Guides are trained to specialize in either cultural or adventure tours. Also, many guides complete various language courses in German, Japanese, Thai and other languages so that they can easily communicate with guests and all are proficient in English. And it is also mandatory that all tour operators employ only registered and certified guides so that there are no issues arising from any incidents due to unlawful obligations arising from the tour operators and their clients.

A minimum of one English-speaking guide will be accompanied by a group of 3-4 people and varying on the number of people. Any of your questions or doubts will be answered by the accompanying guide and will have all your tourist pass and fees already furnished or paid for.

Transportation

1. Private Cars and Vans: Private cars and vans are a common mode of transportation for tourists in Bhutan. Our private cars and vans are well-maintained, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning.
2. Buses: Buses are also available for larger groups and longer journeys. These buses are equipped with comfortable seats, air conditioning, and large windows for enjoying the scenic views. Buses are commonly used for group tours and travel between cities.
3. Domestic Flights: Domestic flights are available in Bhutan to reach remote areas of the country. The national airline, Drukair, offers regular flights to destinations such as Bumthang, Gelephu, and Trashigang.
4. Helicopter Tours: Helicopter tours are a popular and exciting way to see the beautiful landscapes of Bhutan. These tours offer an aerial view of the country’s stunning mountains, valleys, and rivers.
5. Trekking Support: For trekking packages, we provide transportation services such as trekking support vehicles, mules, and horses to transport gear and supplies during the trek.
